Well not exactly in the building but it is safely stored at O’Neal’s Storage in Santa Ana.
Around the 1st of December, I got a call from Terry. He was looking at the weather forecast and reminded me that digging 1296 out of 6 feet of snow was not part of our deal. If I wanted it out here before spring I needed to act pronto. So I did and it was just in time. When the hauler picked 1296 up, there was snow on the ground and more on the way. Good timing or good luck?
Safari 1296 will stay at O’Neal’s until the frame is assembled. Then I’ll swap places and bring the body to the shop and begin metal work. Check the post “Progress is made” for a few shots of 1296 leaving cold snowy Michigan and arriving in warm sunny California.
